Data Summary Within Selected Area This page shows the areal summary of the trends of water level variation, sum water withdrawal and average precipitation. Select the area type from the drop-down menu and click on the area that you want to look at. The areal summary information of this area will be calculated and shown on the right panel.

MPARS: Total Water Withdrawal MPARS data records the water withdrawal from 1988 – 2018. The yearly sum water withdrawal was calculated for each record location.

WellOb: Water Level Variation For the year from 1988 – 2018, we calculated the yearly average water level for each observation well. Each yearly average water level was calculated as the average of 12 monthly average. Then, all the yearly average water level was deducted by the yearly average water level of 1988 to normalize the variation.

For each month, we used the interquartile range method to remove the anomalies. The record out of 1.5 IQR was been removed.

Average Annual Precipitation The yearly average precipitation was calculated from the precipitation dataset from PRISM Climate Group.
